In the past Hobby Lobby has provided exceptional customer service to me each and every time Ive shopped there. However today, (10/4), I had the worst experience. I was looking for an item and found only two of the four I needed. I asked a gentleman, who I believe was either the Manager and or assistant manger, (according to his name tag), if he could call the nearby store for the other two items. He informed me that store policy was that they do not contact other stores to inquire about merchandise. I found this extremely strange since other stores Ive shopped at never took issues with contacting other stores. It was clear to me, that this individual did not have customer service at the forefront and had no desire in wanting to help me. I contacted Holly lobby corporate office and found that there is no such store and/or company policy forbidding employees from reaching out to other stores. In fact, its encouraged. I will no longer shop at hobby lobby West Covina. Id asked that this be addressed with the West Covina store management team and that training be provided to the manager/assistant in customer service/relations.
