My appointment went well, but the earliest I could get scheduled for my 6 month cleaning is 8.5 months away. I will have to change dentist if I am expected to wait that long.

Update 2/23: moving to new dentist. UPDATE 10/2022. The clinic is having a ROUGH time lately and their quality of care has decreased substantially. They are unable to book cleaning appointments in a timely manner, even for existing patients. Additionally, a crown that should take two weeks to complete will take two months due to improper appointing, mistakes with the permanent crown script, and inability to send incorrect crown for remake. They are also having billing issues I have never experienced before now. Due to many issues I have had two very painful visits in this process. Until Dental Depot works out the kinks I can not recommend them. Getting in touch with anyone to discuss billing or treatment issues ends up with long wait times on hold. This is a hard review to write. We LOVE the dental side of the clinic! 5 stars all the way for them! However our experience with the ortho clinic was not a good one. I'd give the ortho clinic 1 star. Our initial experience with the ortho clinic should have been a red flag. During our first consultation they quoted a lower monthly payment but by the time we came back it had jumped $50 a month. I questioned it and they claimed they had no record of the initial estimate. Unfortunately I had misplaced my copy! So we ended up paying the extra amount. Supposedly this was due to the payment being shortened from 18 to 12 months. My son had his braces put on and had lots of trouble with brackets being broken frequently. He has aspergers with some sensory issues and chews on things. Instead of the clinic being understanding and helpful they accused him of eating inappropriate foods. He was very discouraged and hated his braces because even when he wasn't eating inappropriately he was still scolded for it. Eventually they told him not to eat approved foods! When I told one of the assistants about his aspergers and chewing habits she didn't know was aspergers was at first. After I told her it was a high functioning form of autism she was very rude and stated to me that he didn't seem "that bad" because she has a nephew with autism. She threatened to have his braces removed at this time. My son had a large gap in his teeth caused by the treatment and when I asked if they'd remove the braces with a large gap she told me they would not and that they'd make his teeth look "ok". Midway through our treatment they changed the policy to charge for broken brackets which we were fine with if it meant he would eventually complete treatment. At one of his appointments my husband asked for a copy of our contract. We were wondering what would happen regarding payment if his braces were removed. They have no policy for this. They just keep all the money they have received even if treatment isn't complete. They were unable to produce a copy of our contract and said they'd email it. After waiting a day for that email my husband called and they stated they would email it. They never did. On his next appointment they finally decided to remove his braces. He still has a gap in his front teeth that he did not have before treatment. I do understand that fault lies in my son and his treatment of the braces however the way we were treated was very rude and combative at times. We were always in a very poor mood once we left the clinic because of the general attitude towards my son. I am so happy to be done. Even though we are out our insurance benefit and a lot of money without a completed treatment it is worth it to me to never step foot in dental depot South's ortho clinic again. I have 3 more kids and if they need ortho services it will not be at Dental Depot. Update: Still love the dental side of Dental Depot. They are really great about managing our large family with 5 patients coming all at once. The ortho clinic has a new orthodontist so consider my review possibly outdated depending on who else still works there. Hopefully the new orthodontist is more special needs friendly.
