Edit: When my mother was actually dying, they told me to call back when her breathing reached a certain respiration per minute because they were obviously not that bothered. She died alone while I was in the other room gathering some things I needed ( or thought did), they were not there to help, and I will never forgive myself. DONT LET THEM LEAVE YOU IN THIS SITUATION! original post: So far the nurses seemed nice, right up until you really need something. I asked before choosing them whether there were sitters for when I have Dr's appts telling them upfront about the two upcoming appts I had and even what they where for and if the hospice would help if there was something I couldn't handle on my own, specifically using a BM as an example for I feared this exact situation. They assured me they would go above and beyond especially given our special circumstances of my having systemic lupus. Not only did they back out with excuse after excuse of having someone sit with her while I go to an essential Dr's appt, but when she had a huge liquid BM I get told that they don't come out for something that simple. So, I am left trying to figure out how to turn and clean her up and change her by myself without hurting her in any way, such as rolling her right out of the bed, or I have to just leave my dying mother lying in her own feces until they decide to show up for the normal nurse visit at a time they won't even be able to guess at for at least another hour....NOT KIND AT ALL! Now my brother has to take off time from his law enforcement job to help me and sit with her so I can make my Dr's appts so I am not put at risk of a stroke. Quite frankly: THIS IS HORRIFIC!...and she is so close to death I don't have time to switch companies.....in the end it is always just about money-not people.

Very bad experience, when called in the middle of the night was told they couldn't do anything and give medication. When someone did show up only gave more medication. Was not there when needed and the care was very poor. Would not ever recommend this place to anyone.

My mom is in the care of Kindful and it has been an exceptional experience. The staff is responsive, helpful, caring and they deliver excellent care. There should be a rating for 10 stars instead of just 5. I'm grateful we found them and would highly recommend. In particular, our Nurse (Vanessa) has gone above and beyond.

Kindful Hospice was amazing!!! I would give it 100 stars if I could! The emotions of losing a loved one is never easy, but we received the best support from so many of their wonderful staff. Laurie met us in the hospital and explained the services that Hospice offers. She was warm, professional and listened to our needs. Within hours a crew was at the house to set up everything we would need. The on-call RN Mike was outstanding. He provided clear plans, and education on what to expect though this process, which took the fear out of subtle changes our loved one went through and empowered us to help care for him. Mike helped us plan a medication schedule that significantly reduced his suffering. Sherri the Chaplain was with us during some very difficult times and helped us all through it with such grace and kindness. We could not have asked for a more beautiful experience of being surrounded by family and love during his final hours. We are so grateful for Kindful Hospice!
