Our Lady of Guadalupe Jones Family Funeral Home has been found GUILTY of overcharging families. Our family was one of them. The Board of Funeral Services fined them $35,000. and suspended the Directors license. What a shameful thing to do. Taking advantage of families in mourning and charging extra for services or charging for services not even carried out is despicable. They seem nice but all they care about is your money and how they can rip you off by overcharging for their services. Don't be fooled - go elsewhere.

When a loved one passes way all the family needs is sympathy, and relief knowing they are going to the right funeral home to complete the loved ones last wishes. However this location was not nice at all!! The hours on the door are not the right ones, no one was there when we showed up, we called the number listed on their door the funeral director answered, she waned to give us prices over the phone due to her being at another service, which we understood and asked if we could meet her at a better time, however she said, "I can and will meet with you if you choose our location". How can I choose your location if I do not know exactly what your location offers? We did not know if she had the casket our loved one wanted or the date we wanted for our service or anything!!! She had finally agreed to meet with us after we had to convince her we needed to look at all her services on paper. But after all that we felt the need to no longer meet with them due to not being understanding. I understand that they deal with death all the time however you should at least pretend to care about others feelings towards the lost of their loved ones.

When a loved one passes away, it can be one of the most harrowing experiences of someones life. My mother had just passed away and the nurse in charge at Norman Regional Hospital pushed hard, just moments after her death, to have her body removed right there and then. I couldn't believe how uncaring someone could be in such a situation, and ended up leaving the hospital in tears with a promise to have her taken care when I could compose myself.
Thanks to the compassion and loving care of the Jones Family Funeral Home, I was able to make just one call, and everything was taken care of. My mom wasn't insured and all expenses had to be handled by my limited budget. I didn't need an elaborate funeral or anything grandiose, but I did need something I could afford, fast. They were able to take care of all the arrangements, and work with my budget which was a huge blessing to our family. The thing that stood out the most to me, was the love and compassion they shared for my mom, and for our family. I would recommend the Jones family to anyone looking for help with their funeral, and owe them a great debt of gratitude for taking care of mom when I didn't know what I was going to do.
