Unfortunately, this reviewer is mistaken in his comments. To be clear, we have helped this older gentleman significantly; and our firm has been paid only a portion of the amount our work under the agreed upon contract entitles us to receive. For the reviewer to suggest we promised or agreed to anything different than what was delivered and charged is simply not true. Our team members are glad we were able to achieve the result for which the reviewer engaged us.Upon achieving the guardianship in their favor to protect the reviewer’s grandfather from further exploitation, the reviewer, his girlfriend and the grandfather were all ecstatic, singing our praises for the fine work we did to help them.We offered to discount the charges significantly on the bill, provided they paid their invoice timely. We never heard back from them.Our firm did substantial work to assist him in obtaining guardianship over his grandfather, who was being taken advantage of (financially exploited) by another relative (the reviewer’s own mother). In trying to project the cost, the reviewer led us to believe the guardianship would be “uncontested”. In fact, the reviewer and his girlfriend later advised that it appeared the “exploiter” would contest the guardianship, requiring us to spend significantly more time than originally anticipated. We advised the reviewer and his girlfriend of this, and we alerted them that the cost would thus be more significant than otherwise anticipated. They advised that they understood.After multiple efforts to contact them, we finally had no choice but to offer a payment plan that did not include any sort of discount but would give them the opportunity to pay their bill over the course of a year. We were then told the reviewer was out of regular work, and we’ve never received any sort of offer to pay anything from him.We wish him, his girlfriend and his grandfather all the very best
