GI of Norman - West

My doctor sent over my referral and I waiting almost 3 weeks and could not get anyone to call me back. If they cant call you to set up an appointment or at minimum call you back then theres no way I would trust them with my health. Theres a reason their rating is so low

I was referred to Dr Petros by my Dr. one of the best decisions my Dr made!! Oh my goodness I would of died I was losing so much weight the pain was unbearable!! Dr Petros staff is amazing so helpful friendly and knowledgeable after a short time with Dr Petros him and his staff have me feeling 100's percent better I'm back to my normal self feeling great thank you Dr Petros you are a good send! I couldn't have gotten this far without the amazing help from Dr Petros and staff! I love his smile

Long wait for call back (from the uncaring "New Patient" team) after they received my referral. 4 month wait to get an appointment! So sad that patients must beg and plead for an appointment when they are not feeling well and are worried about concerning lab results.

GI of Norman is in the Norman Regional health system. I am fully insured and was hospitalized for a GI issue on a weekend at Norman regional and was directed to follow up with a GI doctor. Even though they are in the same system, they refused to see me without a referral from my current physician. This is not required by my insurance. I pleaded that they could view all my relevant information because I was already in the Norman regional system ER, and they refused. Creating unnecessary barriers to receiving care when they already have access to my charts and hospitalization info is inhumane. They refused to even consider an exception. SW Gastroenterologists got me in the same week due to the urgency of the situation.
