Woke up with a red, watery eye and was going out of state in 2 days. I asked to possibly get an appointment this Monday morning. I went in at 10:30 and was seen within 10 minutes, was seen by the doctor and received a prescription. I appreciate Dr. Guerkink’s thoroughness and helpful staff! Highly recommend.

Horrible service. Completely unprofessional. Changed my appointment time to a month later, which was fine. Sent numerous reminders of new appointment byvtext and phone call right up to the day before. Drove 70+ miles to my appointment to then be told "Oh your referral is out of date. You aren't covered. Do you wanna pay out of pocket?" Claimed they didn't know about it until now. When pointed out they should have, they then claimed they never knew who my insurance was through. When told THAT was not true because my insurance paid for my last visit, they claimed they didn't have a copy of my card. When my wife pointed out THAT was a lie because we could clearly see the photocopy of my card in the file she had open, she closed it quickly and said "All I can tell you is you don't have a referral for today Whataya wanna do?" Drove over an hour to get here. Waisted time, gas and money. Would never recommend. Absolutely abysmal.

Adam recently fitted me for some new Scleral contacts for kertaconus that I’ve had for 25 or more years. I am seeing 20/20 for the first time in 3 decades. He is one of the best Doctors, regardless of practice, that walks the planet. Phenomenal demeanor and I love their staff. The guy hasn’t aged in 30 years and is the only thing I can harp on and I’m jealous.

I’ve been a patient here for years, I usually have zero problems when I come here. Usually the staff is exceptionally friendly & I love Dr. Geurkink. I came in recently to pick up my contacts & mind you it wasn’t busy at all. There were no patients anywhere. I came in and there wasn’t a, “hello†or anything welcoming. When I walked up to the front desk, they didn’t ask me how they could help me. One of the receptionist was on her phone & just looked at me. The older one assisted me. I told them I came to pick up my contacts. The lady brought it out to me and told me it there was about a $200 copay. She didn’t check my insurace or even looked into the system. I usually pay zero dollars in copay. I ALMOST paid the copay but then I asked if my insurace didn’t go through with it. She then goes on the computer for a minute and what do you know??? my insurace pays for all of it. ZERO COPAY. They almost charged me $200 worth of contacts that should’ve been $0. THIS SPEAKS VOLUMES. Please, train your employees better. I love being a patient here. And this should not be a problem.
