I found this little gem and I have no complaints about the business. The owner is always sweet and kind to us when we come in. I have been seeing Tulsa for about 4 months and she does a great job of cutting, styling and coloring my hair. My mom even comes to her. She always listens to us how we want and she takes her time working on your hair. Clean space and I cant complain because I havent had a bad experience and the prices are reasonable. Where do I start... A month ago when I can to the salon, I met with Julie for a consultation to get hand tied extensions! I was super excited, everything sounded great and the coming Friday I paid the amount on my invoice and set the appointment. Unfortunately, the hair arrived late and we had to reschedule. No biggie, I understand this kind of stuff happens. We rescheduled for the following Monday. That Saturday, before the Monday appointment I received a text from Julie that said "Tuesday is the day!" I was confused as we agreed on that Monday, but I didn't question it and just assumed there was a mix up. That Monday evening her child fell I'll. Totally understandable, even tho it sucked I still rescheduled. I even lost my deposit on my engagement photoshoot so I could have my hair done like planned for the next rescheduled date with my photographer. She offered to pay my deposit since I had lost it. That was amazing and I definitely never expected that from her. Next week passes and now her other child is sick. Okay it is what it is, let's reschedule again. The next day before my rescheduled appointment I received a call stating that hair had come in the wrong color. Two weeks after it arrived to her, she noticed it is in the wrong shade. She tells me that this won't effect ny appointment, but it infact did. Following this, when the next appointment time comes, she tells me another child of hers is sick. So we reschedule again. The day of my appointment I received a text from her husband that she is sick. I try to just get my hair but sure ensures me that she will be there at the scheduled time that day. 2 hours before the scheduled time she tells me she is intact not coming in. I tried to get my hair from her to go to an appointment that was available to me elsewhere, and I was then informed I couldn't pick up my hair because she wasn't home. So we rescheduled again, for 9:30am the next day. (Today.) I get another text this morning stating again, she won't make it to the appointment. This had been the 8th time I have been rescheduled. So let's rewind a little.. Per my invoice, I paid a little over $600 for 22"-24" hand tied extensions from a brand called Hot Heads. I'm confused now because when she had called and stated the hair came in the wrong color she stated it was from the brand Babe Extensions. Now back to this morning. I pick up my extensions from her mailbox, and they're 20". NOT the 22"-24" extensions like I paid for. They also were not in a box. So there was no packaging, or brand labels or anything. I found a lovely lady at a different salon who installed my extensions for me. Even she was blown away at the poor quality of these extensions. So I decided to reach out to Babe extensions myself. To which I found they aren't allowed to give me any information since I am not a professional. However, I did receive some information that was extremely helpful. I was asked first if I had received a receipt from my stylist to which I responded "no." I was informed that stylists can and should provide receipts. I was also informed that this company doesn't even sell machine weft in 20". The only two sizes they sell these extensions in, is 18.5" and 22.5". So I decided to text Julie and see if she could provide me with a receipt, to which she says: "Unfortunately when we sign up to be distributors we sign a document saying we won't disclose extension pricing to professionals...so yes I do have my receipt for tax and business purposes but I can't share it. That's just policy." Strange, right? So my question is. What brand extensions do I have in my head? And how much money did I get scammed out of? Since telling Julie the information I found out from the company she claims to have purchased my hair through, I haven't heard a single thing back from her. In fact, she told me, unless I was coming back as her client, she did not feel comfortable sharing any more information with me. What kind of scam is this salon running?
