    My car had no heat and I took it to McKenzie for repair. I was told that the heater core had been flushed three times and yet it still had no heat. I was annoyed because I spent money and still had no heat. I took it to another repair shop and they flushed it, and it worked perfectly. I was lied to by McKenzie because if they had flushed it then it would have worked.

    I do not recommend you bring your car here. I believe I was heavily overcharged for labor costs. Maybe Im wrong, is $750 in labor alone sound right for replacing an alternator? I asked about the cost and they said they go online and look at a website that tells them what it should be. There is a lack of transparency and ownership in this process. If the business aims to be more honest, they would charge labor at a set advertised rate by the hour and clearly write on a timesheet how long it took for them to do the repair and be able to provide the time sheet at close-out. Secondly, they offer a 3.5% cash discount but its actually an up-charge. If it were a discount, they would quote you the full price and then take off 3.5% if you pay in cash. They do the opposite: quote the discount price and then up-charge you if you dont have thousands in cash in your pocket. My suggestion is that this business should seek honest pricingit may help out in the long run.

    Last time will ever bring my vehicle here. Rude receptionist had to bring my car back three times. Overcharged for what needed to be done. I was going here for 2 years never had any problems with them until now. After all the issues we had they couldnt even give us some type of discount. Extremely disappointing will not be returning.

Your car was here for a full year, with no response from you for over 8 months. You were told that storage fees were being added each day. We tried contacting you by phone and a certified letter, but no luck. Last time we spoke we told you that the car needed an engine, and with that and the storage fees that had accumulated so far, outweighed the worth of the vehicle. We have signs stating that any vehicle abandoned over 30 days will be disposed of. We were more than patient with you but could no longer let your vehicle take up vital parking space.

Christian, I am sorry you feel this way. The labor charge was for installing your alternator and cleaning ALL pulleys because your previous belt had melted onto them, and we were not able to install new belt without cleaning those first. That took us an extensive amount of time. I am also sorry about the card charge, but we have many signs in the office stating, "Price Quotes and Balances are Cash Prices and that there is a 3.5% charge on All Cards".

I am sorry you feel that way. Your car was brought in after being diagnosed by someone else that it needed an alternator. That was not the issue, and it needed a battery. We saved you money by not installing what you said it needed. Without giving us all the information that the brake lights stayed on at times we were not able to fix the faulty brake light switch the first time, which was what caused your battery to go bad. We tried to save you money that time, but that didn't work, and we were very apologetic.
