Called on Monday was told they would be by sometime on Tuesday to look at the heater. They never showed up. So, we called Wednesday, and we were told they had two businesses that had to be done first, but that they should be there sometime in the afternoon. They showed up glanced at the heater and said oh thats an old heater then said the cover panel that was on it wasnt for this heater. They said that we should all be dead due to carbon monoxide poisoning, and that they were surprised the heater didnt blow up because it didnt have the correct cover. They also told me I didnt have a carbon monoxide detector, but when I told them I did have one, and that it works they were shocked it wasnt going off. Instead of checking for anything being wrong, or checking the carbon monoxide levels they said they couldnt look at it because it didnt have the cover, and said they didnt want to charge me because they didnt do anything, but that they had to for the paperwork. So, they charged me $108 for an hour even though they werent in my house more than 10 minutes just to tell me they couldnt do anything, and that I needed to buy a whole new furnace, and AC system. They also mentioned it would be $500-600 to clean the dust out of the heater since the cover wasnt the proper one. We called Kemph heating and air for a second opinion. We called at 9:15am, and they were here by 10:15am the same day. They spent time actually looking at it, turning it on, and found out the issue of why the heater wasnt running properly when set to auto it was only running when its switched to on due to a capacitor being broken. Kemph not only diagnosed the issue, checked the carbon monoxide levels, but went above and beyond and found a cover panel for it, and replaced the control board. Dont waste your time, or money with Michaels call Kemph!
