Christina Renata Key, APRN-CNP

I had seen Dr. Mankin for years and was offered to get into her NP Christina Key more quickly. I opted to see Christina and although I have the option to see Dr. Mankin any time I want with a longer wait, I LOVE seeing Christina and have since referred many family and friends to her. The entire office and staff is top notch and recognized as excellent providers by other doctor's at both Mercy and Integris.

Christina is great but I have had a difficult time with her nurse. I dread having to see or talk to her. She always seems miserable and unfriendly. Today, her nurse was very belittling to me. By the time I got off the phone with her, I was shaking and in tears. Ive been having a hard time getting refill authorizations and called to see where the lag was. She spoke over me consistently and was very condescending. She told me Christina didnt know why I was taking one medication that she prescribed me so she denied it, that another medication was never filled by them before which isnt true and that I need blood work for another one which they were supposed to get the record from a different doctor that I see. I never knew that they had never received that record. I also never knew that they had denied any of my request because it had never been put in as denied on the portal nor was there any communication. It was just silent so I didnt even know if they were getting the request. So when I called to ask, I got an earful and tongue lashing. There was absolutely no reason for her to be defensive or hateful. She has never been pleasant to me and has always made me feel like I was bothering her. Im still in shock about the way she spoke to me. Im in healthcare too but where I work, that type of behavior is not tolerated.I cant imagine treating one of my patients that way.

Unprofessional and would not recommend. My elderly family member saw nurse Christina Key for management of his diabetes and other health issues. He was never able to see the actual doctor because she was never available. I asked the office to provide me a follow up after my family members doctors visits when I wasnt able to come with him and I was told if I want to know how the visits go then I need to come with him as they are too busy to call family members after patients visits. I found my family member another doctor where he is actually able to see the doctor and they call and provide follow ups to his appointments without me even asking. Would not waste time on this nurse.

Christina is the most caring and concern person I know. She cares about her patients. My personal experience from her she made sure that I was healthy.
