Stephenie's Hair Palace

My long-time hairstylist moved, and I haven't had my hair cut in about a year while trying to find a new one. This is my first (and only) experience with Jamie at this salon. I made an appointment and arrived at the shop (5 min early) to read a text that she was sorry she was running late because she had to stop for supplies. OK no worries those things happen. So 15 min after my appointment time she showed up and had to get herself prepared. When we went back to the shampoo bowl she smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. Then she washed my hair in cold water (It's January and 40 degrees outside). I told her I wanted shoulder length hair and bangs no shorter than my eyebrows. I also showed her a couple of photos and we discussed a few long layers. I could tell she was really cutting off a lot and even told her "my bangs do not need to be shorter!" at one point. She kept cutting saying she was blending everything. When she "styled" my hair it looked awful but I was hoping it was just her style and I could restyle it better, though I could immediately see it was WAY shorter than shoulder length which I had requested. So I paid. Now I am into the next day and can't believe what a mess this haircut is. Seriously I have trimmed my own hair for over a year and I did a much better job just watching YouTube videos! I wish I hadn't paid her for the haircut and should have kept cutting it myself. This is my experience so I guess if you don't mind asking for one thing and getting something completely different make an appointment with Jamie. I won't be going back.

Ive had nothing but good experiences with Stephanie! Excellent stylist and I always feel so welcomed.
