While the food is ALWAYS made fresh, my concern is the violations in the back of the house! I was hired around the beginning of March. In that time, I've worked just 4 days. Erica Trout, who is the G.M. at the store told me she was looking for an older workforce who would take the job seriously. I was ready to go to town! On my first day on the job, Erica and I opened the store, which looked like a tornado had hit the back of the house. It appeared as if the night shift had just plain shut the store and went home. There was fish batter all over the coolers in the cooking area and food under ALL the fryers. Erica had stated that she was sweeping under one of the fryers, and she swept over an electrical cord and saw sparks shoot out. I had told her of my maintenance background, and she acted as if I could be helpful. But she just was just interested in another body. My training there was on the spot and nothing comprehensive. My first day at the front of house I was merely to observe the drive through register to see hown it was done. The next day I was thrown to the wolves with no training to run the front register and it was a Wednesday. There was no training at all. Meanwhile the health code violations in the back of house just keep getting worse because "training is more important than health code violations. How are you supposed to train when you only work 4 days a month. I've also noticed her staff is 98% female who get to work on a regular basis. DO NOT APPLY HERE! YOU'LL MAKE NO DIFFERENCE! Your expected to know all positions with no extra pay and work holidays with no holiday pay as well.

I waited in the drive-through for approximately 20 minutes while three employees were attending to a single register. Despite being visible to the employees, no one acknowledged our presence or provided any information about the delay. It would have been appreciated if someone had approached the window to communicate the situation rather than ignoring us. Additionally, I would like to emphasize the importance of maintaining a positive and professional demeanor in the workplace. A smile can go a long way in creating a welcoming and pleasant environment for customers. To the manager on duty, if you find yourself dissatisfied with your role, I suggest considering further education or pursuing a career that aligns better with your interests. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I hope you have a pleasant day or evening.

About
Captain D's
At our Zanesville, OH location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D's Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D's Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D's was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.
