Call ahead!!! We drove 2 hours and it was closed, no reason posted and hours still say open 9-5.

Fabulous Place & Folks!...I was visiting friends in Michigan after travelling from Arkansas & they made crock pickles & sauerkraut each year. Never being abler to find a crock I checked online & came across Ohio Stoneware. It was slightly out of my way on the route back home but I decided to visit. The main address on 3rd St is just a warehouse for Ohio Stoneware and the outlet is actually Hartstone on Dearborn St. Lovely antique building and very friendly staff. I inquired about a 5 gal crock & the woman told me there were 2nds in the lower level at 50% off. While looking thru the vast inventory downstairs a lady came up to me and introduced herself as a part owner. She had noticed that I had left my lab pup in the truck during a very hot spell & said I was welcome to bring the dog in...blew me away by her friendliness but my dog was not trained for a china tour. Great deals and numerous patterns of cookware and table serving settings. Apparently 2 plants in the area but tours have been cancelled at this time due to covid. Well worth the trip to visit & take advantage of the deals.
