Brought in my child's broken Chromebook (broken screen) we received a quote to replace the screen within a few minutes. Friendly, courteous, and professional. His device was fixed with about a week (needed to order the replacement screen) and everything is working as it should.

I saw a lot of good reviews for TechFix so thought I'd take my PC in that was constantly blue screening. The repair person is a nice guy and he felt he'd find the issue even though MicroCenter had already looked at it and couldn't find the issue (MicroCenter DID REFUND my diagnostic fee when they couldn't find the issue). The only clue to go on as to what the issue might be was a critical error being in the error log each time the PC crashed. TechFix had my PC for 12 days and each time I wanted an update I had to call to find out the status. Each time I was told that the PC had been taken apart and the motherboard taken out to look for issues. On the 12th day, I called to check on things and was told that he thought he found the problem...it was an old HDD drive causing the crashes. At that point I knew something was up...I asked how that could be as that HDD drive was only used for data storage and the OS was on a 1TB solid state drive. He didn't believe me so I told him to just look in file explorer if he couldn't locate the two SSDs I had in the PC. He then agreed that yes the OS was on a SSD. My issue here is...how could my PC have been taken apart right down to taking the motherboard out when the solid state drives were never seen/located? Another rub is that after having the PC for almost 2 weeks and not being able to find the issue, the diagnostic fee was not refundable. On the bright side, I took the PC to PSeeSolutions in New Albany and they found the problem in one day. The solid state drive that my OS was on had gone bad and was replaced. This is the same solid state drive TechFix couldn't find even after telling them there were 2 of those sold state drives in the PC. It seems that a lot of the good reviews here relate to some type of phone repair, thinking PC repairs are not something they do regularly? But the main rub is that I don't feel they were being honest with me as to what was done during the 12 days they had it.
