When vehicle was dropped off the diagnoses time of 1 hour was verbally agreed to and was authorized. During that first hour as stated on customers work order a transmission supply line was needed to be replaced to further diagnose possible transmission damage from being ran out of fluid while driving at highway speed. Vehicle was towed in to our facility and dropped in our parking lot and we were able to put fluid in the transmission and were able to drive it in the shop under its own power. After getting it in the shop and having put fluid in the transmission we were able to ascertain that the transmission supply tube was leaking. We acquired the part from the dealer and installed it and then test drove vehicle and it drove without transmission issues. At that time we notified customer car was ready for pick up. Customer was ecstatic with the news and our prompt service when car was picked up. We reiterated to customer that there could still be a possibility of transmission damage that may or could develop and would have to be addressed if need be. Back to the greasy hand prints on the A pillar we were very adamant that we did not do this and was more than likely the tow truck driver when car was being loaded on the flatbed. Our technicians use floor mats and wear rubber gloves while performing work on vehicles to protect the technicians from the elements of the environment as well as customers cars from the exact thing that customer is accusing this shop of . SO NO WE DID NOT GET GREASY HAND PRINTS ON THE INTERIOR OF THE CAR ! When customer returned expressing concerns it was agreed that we would take a look at the car but not that day as we were very busy. Upon customer returning customer became very agitated and argumentative to the point of being combative and was told that if that behavior continued no further service would be rendered , customer said thats fine and got in car and drove away . Gorby's Transmission Service is the longest running transmission shop in the Dayton Area (69 years) that speaks volumes for our work quality & ethics . We understand that you cannot please everyone even though we try very hard to do so and some people no matter what you cannot please , its just the nature of dealing with the general public. Bottom line the car was towed into our facility and was driven out under it own power for a very minimal cost and customer was pleased and over the course of 24 hours totally did a 180 on their attitude with our facility and returned to our facility driving the vehicle and said it was running fine .
