I will never go to this place ever again in my life. I went here awhile ago and when I checked out, I typed my phone number in during checkout to access my rewards card, and the system said cool! Here's your total. It did not include the discounts. They tell me to go to the service desk and get a new card. I was in a hurry so I figured I would do it next time I went there. I go there today. With my 5 year old child. It's raining like a monsoon outside. I walk in and walk right up to the service desk. I am greeted by an unpleasant looking individual who is panting as they lumber towards me squawking-WHAT DO YOU WANT? I reply that I need to get a Dot's card. She loudly sqwauks- DO IT ONLINE and points to a piece of paper that instructs customers how to go online and get a rewards card. I tell her I don't have my phone with me. More loud sqwauking ensues. WUT?! YOU DONT HAVE YOUR PHONE?! YOU NEED YOUR PHONE. In a shocking turn of events, I STILL do not have my phone. God forbid someone not have their phone with them 24/7. I explain to her what happened during my last visit. I could have saved something like 6 dollars but didn't because I had no card and was directed to the service desk. She sqwauks angrily WE DON'T DO THAT ANYMORE. YOU GO ONLINE. DO IT ONLINE. I already understood that part, but the unpleasant recap was a lovely touch. I say to her, Well, since I'm here already is there some guest Dot's card I could use so I can get the discounts? (Every single store has this courtesy, I honestly expected her to say yes. Boy was I wrong). The loud unpleasant sqwauking continues as she sternly and loudly sqwauks- YOU NEED TO GO ONLINE. ON YOUR PHONE. USE YOUR PHONE. Gotcha. I take my child's hand and reply to this grotesque human being- ok! I guess we're going to leave then. Sqwauky looks shocked that her disgustingly rude demeanor did not convince me to shop there on this rainy afternoon. I took my 5 year old back out into the monsoon. Looks like we're not making cupcakes, kiddo. And we're never going back to that awful place ever again. What a vile human being Sqwauky was. And what rude customer service. Usually places that market themselves as 'local' 'hometown' markets, are a bit more mindful of their 'local', 'hometown' clientele. Not this place. This place makes Walmart customer service look top of the line. TIL If you're not glued to your phone 24/7, you are not welcome to shop at Dot's Market. So trashy. So incredibly trashy. So rude. So disgusting. So far from helpful. So sorry I gave this place a chance. This place sucksssssss.
