Nelly's

Nothing like it this side of Bolivia. Weve been Nellys faithful since their first store on Alex Road. Quarter Chicken Dinner, white meat with rice and black beans. Best chicken in Dayton, bar none. Since we moved to Cincinnati, we have yet to find better. We regularly convert friends and whenever we get back to Dayton we grab Nellys on the way there or back.

Weve been coming to Nellys for years, but the prices continue to go up while the quality goes down. The chicken is often dry and the side portions are small. The thing that caused me to write this review is the rude Italian waitress who works there. I have read other reviews complaining about her, so I wont bore you with the details. I will just say that she threw a pen at me to sign my guest check. She has always been a pain in the you-know-what due to her eternal bad mood and unfriendly nature. I wrote two emails to the owner, but he did not respond. I have decided to not return to Nellys, nor will I continue recommending it to my Latino and American friends.

Excellent food, highly recommended, must try beef and chicken and then try to choose favorite ( impossible task, btw).
