My name is Jessica and I am reaching out as a concerned. Homeowner that resides on Kale. Adams Road and Trumbull County. I moved back to my families farm about three years ago. I have noticed a regular & reoccurring theme with Ohio Edison “providers†- Every single spring for the last three years, we have had several outages that will last days. My daughter is just turning four now, and I would be stuck Trying to manage a two-year-old with no electric for 3 to 4 days. I doubt that many citizens have shown concerned because this is not something I would typically go out of my way to record and report- however, My family has lived on that property 100 years. I grew up in the same home and 5 acres I bought in 2018. I currently reside there.
We would very, very rarely lose electric and we never went days without electric. I verified this with my Aunt as well.
I work from home. My boss is literally getting skeptical because these outages occur so frequently. When the power goes out I’m Unable to get Wi-Fi- and unable to work. My paychecks are affected. I get behind on my caseload. For extra fun, i’m stuck disposing of everything in my refrigerator and freezer that’s soured. Groceries are so expensive and I’m having to throw away my groceries because I had no electricity. I think that this issue needs to be taken very seriously. This provider is leaving women and children, high and dry for days and days and gives no regard

Sometimes I do call Ohio Edison, in the beginning. I thought it was really bad but it seems like they are getting better with their recording and things. Thank you.

The worst company in the world. They are criminals who are somehow legally allowed to do business. Just as corrupt as the government. Also not to mention them losing an embezzlement lawsuit and giving the people who they overcharged back $5 prepaid cards when they paid MILLIONS in the lawsuit. But dont worry all that money went to the lawyers and the government. Not the people who actually paid all the money. Americas doing GREAT.
