Children's Discovery Center

Daycare doesnt really have a parent, teacher, kid relationship. They dont communicate effectively. Also, theyve gave me 1 week to come up with money I owed and unenrolled my daughter in the daycare right before she would graduate. I thought I would get a little more time because she has been going to the daycare for almost 2 years but they didnt seem care. They never used my phone number always contacted by email last minute. Wouldnt recommend if you would like your child to have a daycare with a strong foundation. Maybe only a summer camp thing. Their software is never working and they stop sending pictures of my daughter I had to ask them to do it when at first they would send a picture everyday.

My son has been attending this center for a little over 2 years. It has been a wonderful experience. I had previously had him at Kidz Watch in Perrysburg and then Bee Creative on Heatherdowns. Both daycares were terrible compared to here. Bee Creative sat children in front of a TV ALL DAY LONG. It did not matter what time I dropped my son off or what time I picked him up, the TV was always on and the lights were always dimmed. Kidz Watch was just as bad, with catty assistants who gossiped about me, poor meal plans (I was actually charged per day, per meal, on top of it my normal monthly fee to have my child here.) With all that being said, I didn't expect much from anywhere and figured it was typical. CDC is incredible. All the staff are kind and understanding and genuinely care about the children. I took my son on vacation with me for a week, and he asked me when we were going to go back so he could "Be with my buddies" LOL He has developed genuine connections with the kids and teachers. I watch him learn things, have adventures, go on field trips and grow into an observant, compassionate and caring child. The right daycare/preschool makes all the difference. I have not had a single disappointing experience in the 2 years he has been here. He will be going into kindergarten next year, but I will strongly consider this place as his after school care center as I work until 530pm. Thank you for everything you have done for my little man CDC.

My daughter loved this daycare very much. The employees care for the kids greatly.

So my review is obviously very different than the last poster. My daughter started at CDC when she was 2.5 years old. They listened to me that my daughter was very smart for her age, potty trained earlier, needed a challenege, ect. and were one of the only centers I visited that listened and could accommodate that and place her in preschool. The preschool teachers are outstanding in my opinion, and we have used three different centers, and in different states prior.  I have no concerns leaving her in their care, and my daughter has grown attached to teachers in all of their classrooms. My son is now in the infant room, and I have had a very positive experience in there as well. Obviously I cant speak for the Toddler rooms - but all teachers I interact with are pleasant and seem to care about my kids. Sad to leave them soon, as we move to another state again. We've used a Goddard School and a Primrose previously, and loved them both. CDC is right up there with them!!
