Uncle John's Pancake House

EDIT #2..I grew up eating breakfast here, introduce my kids to your delicious breakfast always been loyal, but these last few times Ive been more than disappointed with the food (service is always great) so with a heavy heart I bid you farewell, blessings to you Uncle John Edit..IMU Usually good breakfast, but I wish you guys would do better with the condiments, the weekends are better about having youre condiments together but during the week Im always missing something and my Greek omelet order with EXTRA FETA CHEESE was very disappointing to say the least chicken dry, no feta, and NOTHING WAS INSIDE EVERYTHING I MEAN EVERYTHING was OUTSIDE the omelet

I have always loved this place but today was my first visit to the new location. They really brought everything and it looks amazing! I was talking with one of the owners and found out that her husband was there bussing tables so he could spend time with her on his day off and help her out. Probably the cutest thing I have ever seen. I stopped him to say I loved what he was doing and he said he could not possibly be more proud of his wife and it is a pleasure to support her business. I will be back soon! The parking situation isnt great there but it is worth the walk to support a local business and people like this husband and wife. Great job guys!

The new Uncle John's location feels a lot less iconic than the old one. We talked about it over breakfast (which was great, by the way) and it seems like it's the overhead lights. The dim lighting of the old Uncle John's made it feel more homely, the new location feels more corporate. That being said, I do hope they open more locations :)

Not very disabled person friendly. Long walk from rear parking lot to front of building. Up a cement incline. There is no rear entrance to the restaurant and nowhere for a front door drop-off area. The food was decent except for the fresh fruit bowl being horrible. ( frozen, soggy fruit is not fresh) We will not return due to the lack of a handicapped area. Parking: The parking sucks, restricted parking, designated, U.of T. will ticket you if you park in the wrong zone and enter a different store. Not handicapped friendly.
