Mays General Construction

Ridiculous waste of time and money to even consider using this, so called company. The only way you'll know Mr. Mays is not being truthful is his mouth will move.

Mr. Mays did what he wanted instead of listening to his customer. He often would tell one thing and then did something else. Seemingly he did things that were cheap and convenient for him. He said he would put in a railing that he then said he did not know how to do and told me to figure it out. He put in a retaining wall that in his absence his crew just put in dry bags of concrete, may be fine for small jobs not a retaining wall. Then he said it would be fine knowing mixing the concrete is what makes it cure the way it does. He asked for more money often even though we had an agreement on how much and when the pay outs would be. He said he was done with the concrete and left it very ugly even though he was repeatedly told no one liked it but him. I would never recommend him to anyone. The job he was supposed to have completed was for a couple over 80 years old and ended up saying " well if the job had cost more". He quoted it supposedly to help, then did a terrible job saying you get what you pay for!!!! That doesn't say anything for his character or his ability or desire to do a good job when he says he will.
