        We impulsively booked a room on short notice for the 2024 Eclipse, surprised anything was available. The staff was fantastic. They immediately called and said they were going to triple check they werent overbooked between different reservation systems and called us back shortly confirming that we were all good. Id give them 5/5 for that alone. Our stay was lovely. The rooms were clean and very comfy. Breakfast buffet was great and they kept it constantly restocked. The staff was extra friendly, giving out eclipse goody bags and ensuring us we were welcome to hang out with them all day, even after wed checked out, to watch the afternoon eclipse.

        I recommend looking for another hotel, to begin with they didn't let me make the reservation by phone, then I had to do it through a third party online, when I got to the room it smelled horrible of ammonia or bleach (the smell was very strong) and then the bed was dirty(see pic) . When I complained they only said SORRY. I would never return to that hotel

        We arrived later in the evening for our overnight stay. The staff was nice and even offered my dog a treat. So, yes, pet-friendly! However, $75 EXTRA for my dog, who is registered as an emotional support dog. Nope, they dont accept that. They said that they do a deep-clean after a pet stay. Great, but $75 worth? Please tell me why there is mildew in the shower? What in the world is the big critter catcher in the corner of the room? The long black hair on the counter?.eewww!! I guess I expect too much these days. $75 EXTRA for my registered emotional support dog!!! Rooms: Guess it needed a deep clean

        Business meeting for 3 nights. The room was comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was plentiful with good options. Coffee was made and available throughout the day in the lobby area - a nice touch. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Tiffin, so you will need a car if you are in town for meetings. Nearby activities: Two universities in town. Although the hotel is on the outskirts, it's not hard to get to either one. Food & drinks: Hotel does not have a restaurant. A bar and grill next door is not open Sunday through Tuesday. No other food options close at hand. Many good options in Tiffin: car is necessary.

Our hotel is one mile from Seneca County Airport, two miles from the central business district, Heidelberg College, Tiffin University and the Ritz Theatre. I believe there was a bit of confusion over booking the room. We unfortunately cannot match a third-party booking site's rate due to inconsistencies over what they advertise and the actual rate they will book you at. It is Hilton policy that 3rd-party sites cannot book below our regular price. I spoke to Byron who handled your original phone call and he said he would gladly book the room at the rate we had listed for the night, but to book the third-party rate, you must go to the third-party site. We are sorry about the confusion over the pet fee. While we do accept pets at our location, we do require (per Hilton standards) a $75 fee for all pets staying. The only exception to the fee is for service dogs who perform a specific task for a guest due to a guest's disability. Current American's With Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines do not include emotional support animals under the definition of service animals. We gladly supply the guidelines we follow when requested. I will inform our housekeeping manager of the issues you experienced in your room. Also, the "critter catcher" in the room was actually a moisture trap for excess moisture for a/c. We hope, if you are ever in Tiffin in the future, that you will make the Hampton Inn Tiffin part of your travel plans. As we say at Hampton, "Making you happy makes us happy!!
