Find an alternative you can trust. We did business with Calumet Screw Machine Products for more than 30 years and considered them a trusted business partner. Precision Production purchased the company at the beginning of 2021. The new owner refuses to work with any customer that purchases less than $200,000'year. The new owner continued to accept our orders and promise delivery, but then decided out of the blue to cancel our outstanding order three months after accepting it. There are lots of other CNC screw machine shops around that produce high-quality work. Do yourself a favor - find an alternative that you can trust that will deliver on their promises. Even if (especially if) you buy more than their $200k target, consider whether you can trust a company that won't keep its commitments to other customers. It's one thing to stop accepting orders from smaller customers - it's quite another to quote and accept orders and then unilaterally cancel them three months later.
