The Retreat at Sandusky

We stayed here for Spring break for a positive all girls retreat. The outdoor space was excellent! It was definitely enough space for 50+ girls we had. I loved the whole set up idea. Negatives were the hot water always cold! ! A train is so close the beds shake as it passes!!!! It is also the worst mildew mold smell in the laundry room. My husband was told it was just cleaned but there were cobwebs everywhere. The bathroom in the main house where we stay was not clean. We invested too much into everything to not stay but I definitely wish I would've came to see it ahead of time with my husband. Overall the train definitely should have been mentioned for sure!

I work for a college ministry and we hosted our Fall Retreat at the RAS and it was a perfect fit for us. Tony was great to work with and was clear with all communication! The Pavilion and Boat House in the back were great for gathering and creating a fun environment for all of our students. Everyone loved playing volleyball, cornhole, board games and sitting by the camp fire. Our students were all saying that we should definitely come back to Sandusky because it was such a great trip! Do yourself a favor and treat your team, family, ministry, etc. to a great stay at the RAS!

Great venue for a group. We had so much fun and enjoyed all the space for activity and hanging out at night. Host is awesome and easy to work with.

We held a four generation family reunion at RAS and everyone LOVED our time here. The facilities worked great for everyone (we had folks from 90 to 6 months old) and the location was easy for all the activities. The rooms worked as well for adult couples as they did for families with small children. The kitchen allowed us to do our annual Polenta party...and lots of picnic style meals. The kids (two generations worth) loved the playground, basketball court, sand volleyball and big yard for yard games. The fire pit became the nightly tradition once the little ones were put to bed. The owner, Becky, went above and beyond from the beginning and was utterly delightful to work with throughout the process. We would highly recommend this venue for any large gathering.
