Anchor Bay Inn and Suites

Upon arrival the area where the motel is located seemed a little scary at nighttime, especially not being familiar with the area. However, we were pleasantly surprised at how great this place was for our trip. The rooms were simple but have been recently updated. It was very clean and the beds were so comfortable. There turned out to be no issues with the location and it was conveniently located to Cedar Point.

I had made a reservation for one night. Upon arriving I used the access code to enter the room. It was set up nicely, however the place doesn't look exactly like it does online. It looks as though a fresh coat of paint was placed over an old motel. It was in a somewhat sketchy area. I did a "bug" check prior to bringing my items in. I immediately found a live bug on the bed frame. I couldn't get close enough to take a photo, but it was too close for comfort. (The right size, the right color, you get the point). The bed frame hadn't been dusted at all. I immediately walked out, locked the door, and called the number given to me. I will say the lady was HELPFUL, ATTENTIVE, and POLITE. I was given a refund, as I did not stay. The only reason I'm leaving this review, is because google reviews are not completely adequate for this place. For a motel, it is very quaint. Just check your room.

Our stay was perfect! The renovations are really nice and we slept in some of the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in on vacation. Kristen and Derek were so wonderful in all ways. On our first day one of the AC units weren't working and Derek replaced it very quickly. We're not from the area so it was helpful that they told us about all the nearby attractions. We had Toft's ice cream just down the street, and they're only 15 minutes drive from Cedar Point. The area was very quiet, and our room was very clean. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks so much! Rooms: 2 full baths in the premium suite and two comfortable queen size beds Nearby activities: Very close to Tofts ice cream, and 15 min drive to Cedar Point Safety: Single level motel Walkability: You could walk to Toft's ice cream Food & drinks: Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Very close to Toft's ice cream, and 15 min drive to Cedar Point Noteworthy details: Great value, great staff!

I rented the Air BnB that is behind the motel but owned by Anchor Bay. The location was great (close to Cedar Point) behind the house not so great of an area. From the time we checked in until we checked out nothing but issues: 1. Its almost $300 more to book on Air BnB vs direct. glad I found their website. 2. The house was filthy, it looks clean and like the pictures UNTIL.. 3. Floors were black like they have NEVER been mopped. I was emptying out our cooler as we traveled with food. Spilled some water on the kitchen floor. Grabbed paper towel to wipe up and I was appauld at how black the white paper towel was. This was on check in day. 4. Everything that was emailed to me says there is a keyless entry..LIES! The key was under the mat and we ultimately got locked out after a long day at Cedar Point . The key was janky and only worked on one door consistently. 5. Bathroom was dirty, shower floor was black and the trash was full. Oh and those floors have never been mopped either. 6. Bedroom furniture dusty 7. All of the dishes in the kitchen were dirty, almost everything we tried to utilize was dirty. Thank god for the dishwasher, but we should not have to do that. All dishes should be properly washed and sanitized in between each guest. 8. Refrigerator was dirty and old food left behind. When I informed the owner she stated that someone could come over the next day to clean and those items were left for guest . Nobody wants unopened used food sorry! I dont know how long these 4 popsicles have been in this freezer either. 9. Random people kept stopping by as they assumed the house was the office for the motel. Very creepy to have random men try and come through your door. Despite signs on the doors that say this is not the office! Maybe there should be signs BEFORE they reach the door. One man walked in the house as I was unloading the car and I almost passed out in fear. Not ok and I was alone as my family was still at Cedar Point. I would never rent here again, the home should have been cleaned and sanitized properly in between guest, doors should all work properly. Every trip back to the house I would be on pins and needles hoping the key works this time. She did offer to rekey the doors but that never happened. For almost $700.00 I expected much more.

Newly remodeled and CLEAN! We had to put a resident up for a night due to electrical issues and Kristin was very accommodating. The room was adorable and very clean. The space was perfect!!
