Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Toledo South, OH

Check in was smooth. Room was nice and clean. A few chips in paint and discoloration by tub but not bad. Breakfast was nice with good selection. Staff where friendly. Only 2 downfalls where parking. Not enough spaces and to small. Pool area had clumps of hair and little pieces of trash. Pool was hazey looking. Overall not bad for price and definitely better than most I've stayed at in that area

My husband and I stayed for the evening and overall had a great experience. The woman at the front desk was super nice and helpful. I had booked the room online and there was a mix-up in which she took care of/fixed immediately, no problem! Rooms were clean and nice despite a couple stains on the carpet. But bathroom and bed were very clean. Bed was comfortable. Pool was pretty cold, but clean. The hotel and room smelled amazing! Location was great, located right off the highway. Even with being right on the highway, it was actually pretty quiet. Breakfast was omelets, biscuits and gravy, cereal, yogurt, bagels and oatmeal. It was hot a good. If looking for a nice place to eat, check out Mancy's Steakhouse (located about 12 mins away). Great food!

Noteworthy details: Smells like smoke every day. Heavy marijuana use on the weekends- smells like a weed factory! Noisy. Cant seem to handle room service requests. They ration the towels considering the high price rooms. Staff and management are not on the same team-lack communication and dont honor their word.

So even if you call and have the person taking your reservation put a note on file that you won't be in until early morning because you are on night shift until 6am, they still cancel your room, charge you for the night, and call you a no show. Then the desk personnel basically calls you a liar. One even laughed about it. Pretty sure a room is reserved from check-in (3pm) until check-out (11am). And this was after I've already stayed there for 5 weeks and most of the desk workers know my schedule. I've work traveled for 25+ years and NEVER seen customer service this bad. At least Choice Corporate recognizes the problem and gave me 2 free nights. But I would stay away from these crooks. Too many nicer and cheaper hotel options in the area. PS, I guarantee the manager see this and again calls me a liar.
