I really have enjoyed my time at OCSA because the people are great, coaches teach technique for all levels, and its competitive for whatever pace you feel is appropriate. I highly recommend.

If you are looking to get into shape, make friends, learn how to defend yourself, or just pick up a new hobby then you should definitely check out Ohio Combat Sports Academy. I had trained jiu jitsu for a couple of years and when I was moving to Columbus I wanted to keep it going. I found this gym and I e-mailed the owner. He invited me out to a class and I instantly decided it was the place for me. First, the facility is huge and very clean. Its a very comfortable atmosphere. Everyone makes you feel welcomed and you quickly understand its a safe family atmosphere. There are multiple families that train here and everyone helps each other get better. There are people like myself that just like burning calories and learning some self defense but there are also members that compete in jiu jitsu and MMA matches. Its a safe, diverse team with many first responders and school teachers as members and instructors. It does not matter what shape youre in, what your age is, what your background is, or what your goals are. Dont make the same mistake that I did! I wanted to try jiu jitsu and mma for years but I always talked myself out of it. My first day of training made me realize I wasted years by not just going into a gym and checking it out in person. If youre interested in learning and becoming a better person then you will find success as a team member here.
