Got to where we staying and already have to use the bathroom outside and we dont have propane to have heat or take a shower and he said he dosent provide propane so we cant be warm or take a hot shower outside in 40 degree temperature. Highly dont recommend

Reserved rustic retreat at turkey creek Aug 29, 2022.Upon arrival we found the cooling unit drip bucket full and water running over on to kitchen floor.Next we discovered ROACHES AND HORSEHAIR WORMS running on floor by the futon (pics available).We never unpacked, checked our luggage and promptly left.I dont want to take any kind of Roaches back to my house,DO YOU? Notified Jim Fisher immediately, only to listen to lame excuses.Dont reserve this place people.

My husband and I and my friend were going to stay at the Rustic Turkey Creek Cabin and when we got there, the lawn was not even mowed, and inside the cabin, the bucket to the air conditioner was overflowing, and the cabin had a very musty smell to it. We got all of our stuff inside the cabin and started to get organized and when I went to get my night clothes out of my suitcase, there was a roach on the outside of my suitcase and I called my husband over to look at it and as he was looking at it, he noticed some kind of worm on the floor.The worm looked like angel hair. So my husband said to us to get our stuff out of there and we left immediately. My husband called the owner of the cabin and we told him about it. He said it was a wood roach. We told him that we were going to stay somewhere else because to us, a roach is a roach and we want nothing to do with it. He said that because we didn't stay, that he would refund our money, and that never happened!! Would not recommend renting that place!! YOU SAID THAT WE WOULD GET OUR REFUND BECAUSE WE DID NOT STAY!! THAT HAS NOT HAPPENED YET!! UPDATE: Your response is ridiculous!!

We booked the country cottage because we had stayed there before, and it was absolutely perfect. Away from everything, and private. they thought of everything, down to the smallest details. This stay, however, was different. there were a few minor issues. I will not go into the details, but I called the owner, and he answered right away. We discussed the issues, and he made every effort to rectify the situation. Contrary to some of these negative reviews, the owners DO care. and try their best to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. We were even compensated for our inconvienence. Everything is not always perfect, But they strive to do their best. For this reason alone, we will continue to patronize The fisher family retreat. Thank you again for a great experience.
