UH Parma Medical Center Laboratory Services

Went as a walk in to get blood draws done that another lab nearby was unable to do. About 2 minutes after signing in they called me back, drew my blood and sent me on my way. I will say the lab area could use some updating however I sure as heck was not there to enjoy the scenery and am still very happy with my experience. I would come back again for any future lab needs.

Changes were made when you get blood work done here; different door, tiny waiting room (so much for social distancing) and "folding chairs" lined up all the way down the hallway (which seemed like a possible fire hazard). When I called to express my opinion, Crystal, the new, rude, obviously inexperienced "person" had the nerve to tell me UH Parma was doing this to HELP the patients save money. Really?! At my age, I cannot stand when people lie to my face. If they are having trouble hiring people to register patients and that's why the phlebotomist now have to do it, tell us. Be honest! She did tell me to come back in a few months when they "work out" all the kinks!! Talk about putting the cart before the horse. Southwest's lab is much better, just in case anyone wants to go where they are appreciated and there are no kinks to work out! Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Price gouging. A basic metabolic panel they bill over $900+. Beware UH are crooks. They should be sued. The lab on Powers Rd is a joke. Hope they are sued for ridiculous set up and federal privacy law violations. Crude phlebotomists cram 6 patients into a tiny room the size of a shoe closet at the end of a long hall quarter mile long. Some elderly heart patients difficult for them to walk this distance. Like a third world country men, women, children all together no respect for privacy and certainly less than 3ft apart. Some given a cup for urinalysis and discussion in front of strangers about their procedure. Others there for blood draws in filthy non disinfected room with 6 other people mulling around. What UH has done to this hospital is illegal. Hope they are sued.

Pretty horrible considering its a UH hospital long wait time for blood work horrible check in process this hospital system has gone down hill Move over to cleveland clinic

2 Months ago I had blood drawn for my doctor to test for any liver damage from a medication I am taking. They still never faxed the results to my doctor even after my doctor's office called them multiple times. I will never go here again for bloodwork.
