    Our medical practice has a very small call volume, and we can easily track all calls to our surgeon. We needed dependability and clarity of information only. While initially things went well with just occasional small operator glitches like not collecting all of the info on the intake form, or holding emergency and trauma callers on the line when requested not to, their billing rapidly escalated to hundreds of minutes billed in months where there were only a few calls, or months where our practice was closed for two weeks. Calls, notes, and requests to review these obviously incorrect charges were met with radio silence. The incorrect charges kept snowballing without any increase in the rate of our calls. It seems like they count on businesses not to paying attention to this kind of thing. Then the company chose the busiest time of the year, sent a fax while we were away, refused to respond to calls to discuss our concerns, and then abruptly cancelled their service the day after we re-opened, exposing our practice and surgeon to serious patient emergency care lack of response charges. No time window to arrange other coverage. For a loyal practice who made multiple attempts to reach someone and rectify the issue, their complete lack of responsiveness and irresponsible actions are appalling. Stick with businesses like repairs and plumbing, and even those businesses should watch their bills closely for gross errors, redundant call charges, and false inflation of billing minutes they then refuse to correct. Buyer beware, this company should not ever take on urgent patient care responsibilities, and be allowed complete lack of transparency or customer service. Go elsewhere!!

Hi Tavish62 B,I apologize for your bad experience. I’m somewhat confused, though— as the owner of Professional Answering Service, I give out my cell phone to all of my customers and am always reachable. Additionally, my employees know how important it is to be accessible 24/7 to our customers and practices to address any and all of their needs & concerns. As far as your call volume: we charge by the agent minute. That is the time our agents are on the phone working on your behalf (And unlike many of our competitors, we don’t round up minutes!). We feel it’s the fairest way to charge, as opposed to charging by the call, which could last 15 seconds or 15 minutes. Our call volume reports are very straight forward and have been very accurate. As far as cancelling your service: We only do this for one of two reasons. The first reason we may cancel a customer's service is if that customer is continually verbally abusive to our agents. The second reason we may cancel a customer's service is if we have not received payment after multiple attempts and after many, many months being overdue.
