The staff used to be friendly, helpful, and kind to me, but since I spoke up against a CRUEL chick hatching program the library had in late April 2023, making known the chicks' suffering and misery I had personally witnessed during the awful event, most of those staff members treat me coldly and/or scornfully now. I've even been verbally assaulted. I'm a regular, friendly, and respectful patron of the OPL, so this is inexcusable. It's a sad statement when people who speak up for innocent, helpless victims of ugly exploitation and cruelty are treated this way. I wish I could say that I felt safe inside this library, but that would not be the truth.

I'm a regular, friendly, and respectful patron of the Oberlin Public Library, so this is inexcusable! It's a sad statement when people who speak up for innocent, helpless victims of ugly exploitation and cruelty are treated this way. Shame on the Oberlin Public Library!
