Go ANYWHERE else!

I submitted my w2's on February 19 but, when I didn't hear anything back within 3 weeks, I texted to inquire. I received no response but waited a week-understanding that this is a busy time for tax preparers. I still received no response so I drove to the location during business hours. The place was dark. I returned on a Saturday-still dark but left a handwritten note. When I received no response, I called again. Finally, a human answered- it sounded like a very sleepy human. At this point it was mid March, and I was growing concerned. I was told my tax preparation was well underway and that I would receive a call soon. By April 1 I had still not heard back regarding the content I had provided 6 weeks earlier. so I called. The woman, Nicole, seemed annoyed, so I expressed my concern that April 15 was looming and, although she had my w2's for 6 weeks, my taxes were not ready to be filed. I was promised a phone call by April 10. You guessed it. No call. I called on April 11 and was told my taxes were "mostly complete". When I inquired how many dependents she had claimed she was incorrect on the number. I asked when I could pick up my material and how much money I owed her for preparing my taxes as I would be bringing cash. She said she would call back in 10 minutes to let me know the amount. When she called she screamed in my ear, "I lost my keys. I will have to call you back later." When I tried to pinpoint a time she continued to yell, "I can't find my keys." She called back and said, "I can't remember what you wanted me to call you about." I repeated that I wanted to settle my bill with her and needed to know how much cash to bring her. She replied, "Well I don't know that now. I left the office." I asked her to call me asap with a total so I could bring her cash and we made an appointment to pick up my taxes on April 14 at 5:30. She called back early in the day and asked for my PIN number. She called back two hours later to change the time to 6:00. Each time she called I asked her how much I owed her. Each time she said she hadn't figured it out yet. When I arrived, she couldn't find my taxes, and a lovely man who worked in the office got to work. 90 minutes later, my taxes were complete. I asked how much I owed for the fifth time. I had brought $20 more than she charged two years earlier, $120, only to be told the price was now $220. She would not release my documents to me until I paid in full. It was now 7:30 p.m. on April `14. I had started the process on February 19. Moreover, she complained that I had caused the hassle by giving her "too much time" to complete my taxes. I raced home, got an extra $100, and returned to collect my taxes at 8 p.m on April 14. I share this level of detail to explain the depth of the bizarre encounter. I made sure my daughter was present when she called because the stories I was sharing were almost unbelievable.

First time patron. Thought everything was alright until I had my sister go over the papers. The guy wrote fraudulent information. Now having to file an amended return. Do not recommend unless you want to get in trouble for tax fraud
