This small bookstore is nice, and clean, with a large selection of books. The staff is very friendly and helpful. However, the prices of the books are very high in my opinion. For example: I bought a hardback book 2021 with 200 pages for $5.08 with tax. Most of the hardback books are priced at this price level. Paperback books arent less expensive either. I thought this bookstore was going to have great bargain prices on books (like hardback books for $2 and paperback books for $1) but I was wrong. Just be aware that youre going to pay quite a bit of money if you buy a bunch of books here. This store doesnt offer a 50% off color of the week like most Goodwill stores do. Update: (as of 4/8/2024) All Northeast Ohio Goodwill stores no longer have a 50% off color of the week special. Its a bummer that they got rid of this weekly special. Goodwill stores have raised prices on everything. Much of the time now products are no longer a bargain to buy. As far as I know you can still earn Goodwill points at this store and redeem them here too. I would like to see the prices of the books come down to the prices I mentioned above, however, Im not counting on it. Ive become a regular customer at the Goodwill Outlet Store in Canton, Ohio where all books are $1.00! Thats a great deal! I wont be visiting this bookstore on a regular basis. Its just too darn expensive.

I don't know if you would go here if you have specialized reading. You were into philosophy or obscure history. But if you need a cookbook, children's books or popular fiction this would be a great place to go. I actually found it entire collection of the Little House on the Prairie books from the early 1970s . And a Jan Brent book that my daughter didn't have. I would certainly go here for cookbooks, children's books, young adult, and popular fiction.

Thank you, Steve, for sharing your thoughts. We feel that our books are priced fairly, according to market value and similar used book stores. Please know that the decision to transition from Color of the Week to Give Me Five was after YEARS of evaluation from all levels of our agency. Most Goodwills across the country have done away with Color of the Week, and have chosen not to replace with any other discount program. We opted to offer some type of program that would incentivize and reward our customers (in addition to our loyalty program and senior discount). We all loved the program, but has you aware, the rising costs of wages, utilities and rent have caused us, like many businesses to have to make tough decisions and revaluate all aspects of our business. I would also share that, Color of the Week had many unfortunate side effects for our Goodwill. Every week, for example, customers would ‘hide’ items in other parts of our store so that they could come back and recover those products when the discount was in effect. This type of behavior was widespread and had caused a variety of other issues managing our stores. The new Give Me Five program allows customers to purchase at a discount right away….not wait five weeks for a discount on an item (and no need to hide items). Your support helps thousands of people in our community with vital services. I’m including below a link to some stories of people in our community who were helped because you shopped and donated ...https://www.goodwillgoodskills.org/about/success-stories/
