Auto-Owners Insurance Co

Im a contractor that has helped many customers with their Homeowners claims in the Cincinnati and Dayton area and Auto Owners is by far the worst to work with. Theyre unorganized and unethically deny claims despite overwhelming evidence in support of coverage. They have hired conflicts of interest in situations when inspectors are meant to be unbiased. They will ignore emails and multiple follow ups for months on end. There is no urgency or even an ounce of desire to indemnify their customers as their policies contractually require. I would not recommend Auto Owners for homeowners insurance even if it was free.

Michael Phillips was a nightmare to deal with. He released almost 24000 check to a condo association. Whos now saying the work wasnt done. So they can keep the money. Stay clear of this insurance hes rude. And. I recommend reporting them to the bureau of insurance. He said we dont 2 party depreciation checks. FYI the works done so the contractors best interest is to be on the check. Considering. They make u prove the works. Done. Run. Run run.

Horrible customer service! Completely lied about having to pay out liability and took 5 and a half weeks to finally resolve my claim after I pretty much harassed them daily. Oh and NO ONE ever answers their phone or checks their email! Also is not the at address if you look them up. I had to call and get the correct address!

I have been trying to settle a claim from July 2020 that involved one of their insured. You have to leave message after message and send multiple emails to get a reply. Still waiting on payment. This company is a joke!!
