The Echelon of Medina

This facility looks great. Not the same as a year ago. Short staffed and getting worse Food is horrible. Caretakers and nursing staff are very kind and caring but they don't last. My mother should receive two showers a week. Often doesn't even get one. They cannot schedule showers ever. All randomn. When sick and eat in room food is delivered in Styrofoam trays with the cheapest plastic silver ware and is always cold. I have taken food down to reheat several times and it still isn't hot. Or coffee. I do not hear back from anyone in management when I raise concerns. Her package deliveries have been questionable as of late. I live 3 states away so very difficult to monitor everything. Very disappointed and upset with this facility. The price they charge and certain increases is far higher than the service and food.

Dear Adam and all the staff at the Echelon in Medina Independent Living Facility, I wanted to share our gratitude and review of our experience while our mother lived there. The Echelon is a wonderful family like community. We were greeted by residents with smiles and introductions from many on day one. The owners care. The staff cares and you can feel it. The residents are kind, fun, and bring a beautiful spirit to the Echelon. They have many amenities from fitness classes, to a pool, gym, restaurant like kitchen with a specialty diets. It is Safe and well kept. Feels like a Beautiful hotel that you dont want to leave. The Suite our mother lived in was perfect for her. The transportation service and Cheryl were the best. The front Desk were always so kind and courteous. Everyone was helpful. The price was comparable to other places that were not as nice. My mother only lived there from April 2023 to September until her passing in Octobe but her short time there she was on 3 committees her most favorite was the potluck!! She made friends with many of the residents and staff during her time there. We thank Adam and all the staff who embraced our mother Lucille. She loved all of you and you made last months so very special. We could not have asked for a better place for her to call home. I would highly recommend Echelon for someone who is looking for a place for there loved one for independent living. They also have a skilled facility as well. The Echelon is always top of my recommendation list! Thank you again for giving our mother a wonderful place to live in her final days. Our family is grateful that a place like the Echelon exists because we searched and we found the Echelon had something special others didnt. Bless all of you at the Echelon and the staff. I moved my uncle into the Echelon today! We were that family moving in on a weekend (a holiday weekend at that) and I cannot believe how accommodating their team was! Everything was super clean and ready to go in the apartment, the receptionist went ABOVE and beyond to help us with zero complaints or attitude (all day), the residents were all SO happy and coming to the apartment to say hello (one even brought a flower). In my uncles apartment was a schedule on the counter letting him know when the meals would be and such- and while it seems small the super cute gift bag with goodies made his whole day (especially the cute coffee mug). The apartment is gorgeous! Prior to the move-in Adam was super helpful and so accommodating. I feel super blessed that my uncle is at the echelon!
