image The school is very inconsistent with punishment, and it certainly seems favoritism is often a factor. Bringing marijuana to school results in a 1 day suspension, you face the same punishment for minor infractions if you are not the ideal (female) student.
The parish is not actively engaged with the school unless it is about controlling money. You very rarely see any of the priest engaged with school events or students. It is a big parish and that impacts the relationship between the school and parish. The parish is the business not the school.
The principal abruptly resigned in 2017, the announcement came without coordination with the parish or the archdiocese (even though the principal went to another catholic school).
There are many areas of the school that are run by “clicks”, and they make the decisions regardless of what a majority may want.
The school seems stuck in the 80’s with respect to its overall approach. It is dysfunctional.

image In light of all the reviews that have recently been posted here, I would like to anonymously give my opinion. Some students posted dramatic and clearly incorrect reviews which were mostly untrue. In response, the staff posted numerous reviews which were blatant propaganda. I would like to give the perspective of a student in the cross fire. Lately there has been several events that the teachers have unfairly exacted punishments upon several male members of the class, while most girls have remained untouched. Several people have complained about this sexism or favoritism, but the unfair punishments continued, so in retaliation, the students left unfavorable reviews. This school would be perfect for a well-behaved girl who enjoys her classes and doesn’t turn in any assignments late. If this is not your child, I would still recommend the school. There are great extracurricular activities, the campus is nice, and the staff are good almost ninety percent of the time. For that ten percent of the time, though, buyer beware. For if your child doesn’t fit the staff’s idea of a ‘model student’, you may be unhappy. The staff, which has enforced many unfair ‘guilty by association’ and ‘zero tolerance policies’, may make you regret your decision. Overall, this school is a great fit for most, but some students, or entire classes, may have a bad experience. This review was written by a student from the class of 2018 who wishes to stay anonymous.
