    First of all, I do not leave negative reviews very often. I usually am the one to leave glowing reviews when deserving. This is an unfortunate exception. When Bob Herr had this company, he went above and beyond. We have been customers for 13 years. Our home owners insurance increased by nearly $1,500 in a three year span. When I asked to trim the fat off of our current policy, one employee said she would get quotes from their other companies they deal with and would get back with us. It took her three weeks after excuses of the office being terribly busy, or people being out of the office etc etc. When I asked about getting a policy from one of the quotes she did finally give me, I was told it was not available anymore. A different employee called my husband and said that Shamrock could not offer any better. Why two employees had two totally different answers was beyond me. We received a refund check from Pekin and we put it in our bank. We assumed it was a discrepancy from what our summary stated and what we were charged. We received several rude messages stating that my husband cashed a check that was not meant for him and other rude remarks. After calling Pekin, they told us that it was a mistake made by Shamrocks office. Thats all they had to say, that they made a mistake and would we kindly refund the money. After contacting Pekin, we refunded the money straight away. It was that simple. No need for such accusatory remarks and rudeness. I would strongly recommend you find another agency, as these people are clearly over their heads. They have no time for their clients. So very disappointed in a local company.
