Receptionist seemed nice. The nurse practitioner who saw me was extremely rude, unprofessional. She diagnosed me and didn't even tell me my diagnosis till I asked. She constantly disregarded my concerns with my medication to the point it almost landed me in the hospital. (Blood pressure medication for anxiety it tanked my BP) If you need mental health help this place is not recommended. It may make it worse.

This office is incredibly disorganized and the communication is terrible between staff and providers as well as with patients. They constantly misinterpreted what I was saying to them and I never felt heard both from the providers and support staff. I read through the notes and it seems like they're never understanding me properly. The practitioner documented me having trialed medication I had never even been prescribed (and they should know as they have been my only psych prescribers since 2019 and hadnt been on meds since 2012 before then). When I requested that this be checked and updated, no action was taken. It still says I've trialed medication I have not. My sending a message does not constitute appropriate documentation of this if that's what they're thinking? I voluntarily terminated but then decided to try to return to them for a time (due to some miscommunication with another provider regarding scheduling that i later found didnt fit my needs) until i could find a provider that better fit my schedule. The staff scheduled me an appointment and assured me this was fine, didnt mention anything about it needing to be approved by the provider. (They of course documented that this was pending provider approval but did not mention that to me at the time) Then found out the provider denied it and now I'm stuck without a psych. Im not even mad about it being denied, its just another issues on top of many things with them. My primary care won't manage my meds because of my history of poor reactions to psych meds (I would prefer to see a specialist anyway) so I just hope I can find a new (good) provider soon. I dont know why I stayed at this office so long. I would mention things to my counselor offhandedly (not upset, not complaining) and she would express concerns about it constantly, but I just downplayed it. That should have been a huge red flag for me. I can't say I've ever had a worse experience with a provider. I literally felt like I was being gaslit often (maybe not their intent but it seemed that way with the bad communication) Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. They're a malpractice suit waiting to happen.

Been going here for years. Have worked with Dr. Katz, Valerie Mumaw and Dr. Brickner. The providers and staff have always treated me with respect and worked patiently and pleasantly to iron out any problems. It was a little rough getting used to Valerie after Dr. Katz but with some patience on my part, we gained a better understanding of each other and now I've found her to be a caring and patient provider. Dr. Brickner has been great to work with as well, affable and kind with appropriate focus on and genuine concern for a clients mental health and well-being. I'm sorry for all the people who've had such poor experiences as I have found this to be one of the best facilities of it's kind with wonderful people.

Of course the people were nice. Unless you refuse to take the pills...
