I had Taylor at Pioneer do a job for me this past year. They are receiving one star because there were issues from the start. We had a start date that was pushed back due to labor shortages. I was understanding and we let the delays continue for quite a while. Finally when we had enough, other companies were booked up through the year and wouldn't get to us until 2023. When the work was finally done, the design vaguely resembled the plan (natural looking placement became symmetrical uniform spaced planting). Also the beds were supposed to get old weed barriers removed and soil added. The barriers were only removed where they did planting, leaving scraps poking out through the mulch. The beds also did not appear taller so I assume they did not add soil. Since I wasn't present during the work due to my job, I let them slide. The seemingly last straw was they added to the final bill for work I requested in the first walk through which I thought had always been included. I disputed it and refused to pay the addition. Mind you from the beginning, every time I tried to reach out to communicate with them it would take at least a week for a response. Sometimes up to three. The real final straw is the trees they planted we're just placed in holes with no consideration to root growth or plant tolerances. We already have had two small trees die which we replaced with arbs. Now our largest trees are showing signs they're dying. The small trees we dug up still had their metal transport cages on them so I assume these large ones do too. Putting trees like that into clay soil without freeing the roots is just asking for them to die.
