Probably great for minor issues/ if you just want a plea deal but if youre in a tricky situation just pay someone. With all the stress that being in legal trouble causes the last thing you need is the unresponsive and frankly lazy lawyer I was offered here. My case lasted over a year and my attorney chose to drag it on as long as possible even after I explained how pending charges cost me my job and income. I constantly felt out of the loop and was never able to get ahold of my attorney(email or phone). The office rarely answers the phone and half the time there is no one there during business hours. They do eventually get back to you but expect email responses to take at least a week many times it took longer. The attorney rarely goes to the portage county / Ravenna court (which is where my case was) and thus was less familiar with the prosecutors and judges. He sent me in blind not knowing what to expect, where to go, what to do when I got there, or how long things take. He showed up to court late on multiple occasions and made me miss classes to show up on court dates that nothing happened. I missed class to sit in a hallway for hours, TALK TO NOBODY (judge or prosecutor) and leave with no progress or results. My questions and concerns were not addressed until the night before court (usually via one sentence email). When they were finally addressed it was always dismissive and he would usually he would talk down to me like a child or stupid adult. Many details were ignored or forgotten, some that I truly think wouldve made a difference and helped my case. He pays little to no attention to detail, and spelled my name wrong on multiple legal documents causing court proceedings to be delayed even more than they already were. It took months for him to obtain the written statements for my case which I wanted to review before making a decision on plea deals. I feel that I was poorly represented as a person. Before the charge I was actively involved in helping underserved populations for a career. I had a perfectly clean record, not even a speeding ticket. The attorney never once tried to leverage this and play the but shes a good kid card because my situation was messed up and I shouldnt have been charged. If you want results other than a bad plea deal go elsewhere!!!!
