Something White

Ive been singing Rebeccas praises since my appointment in January. Before finding Something White, I was extremely intimated by the wedding dress shopping process, not knowing what style of dress I wanted (truly, I had no clue). Rebecca helped me discover my dream dress and was patient and encouraging throughout the process from start to finish. I couldnt be happier with my dress and feel so lucky to have had such an exceptional experience at Something White. Highly, highly recommend!

I visited Something White Bridal Boutique this past weekend with high hopes and potential of finding my dream wedding dress; however, my experience was nothing short of disappointing and disheartening. Prior to my appointment, I had a sour taste in my mouth heading to Something White Boutique. I was stunned to learn that I would need to pay $100 in advance of my appointment just to try on dresses for an hour-long appointment. This policy felt unjust and exploitative, especially considering that selecting a wedding dress is already a significant financial commitment. Other boutiques and brands of much higher price point and better craftshipmen than what is carried at Something White Boutique doesn't even require such commitment. Its as if this bridal boutique, located in inconvenient and medicare Independence, Ohio was on Rodeo Drive. Despite my early feelings, I proceeded to attend my appointment as this time throughout your wedding planning process should be a special and exciting experience. Yet, from the moment I walked in, I was met with an air of indifference by the owner, Rebecca. Instead of receiving the warm welcome and assistance I expected from a bridal boutique of the caliber Something White markets themselves to be (one of the best bridal shops in the United States), my visit started off with a cold greeting: so you are here to dress up today?. Rebecca swiftly then followed up with a less than friendly reminder that her bridal gown offerings range from $5-8k, as if to insinuate her selection was out of my budget. It was evident that myself, as well as my two guest attendants and biggest supporters, Aunt & Grandmother, were an inconvenience to Rebecca. Rebecca displayed an utter lack of salesmanship and professionalism as we were treated with such disrespect. Once I was able to select no more than the suggested 4-5 dress count, Rebeccas selection of dresses was also underwhelming to my expectation. Her dresses were poor in quality as many were heavily makeup stained and severely wrinkled. Also, the overall ambiance of the boutique was lackluster. It's evident that customer satisfaction is not a priority of Rebecca's as Something White Boutique. I would strongly advise anyone considering visiting this boutique to proceed with caution. The lack of respect for customers and the questionable pricing policies make it clear that there are far better options available. Save yourself the frustration and disappointment and look elsewhere - in particular Brides by The Falls, a competing boutique that carries similar price points and brands for your wedding dress shopping needs. My time with Something White Boutique was a regrettable experience and I would not recommend it to anyone, including my cousin who lives locally and was too recently engaged. What a miss for Rebecca as my cousin and her friends could have brought Something White Boutique meaningful business!

TLDR; Rebecca is amazing and Something White should 100% be a stop on your wedding dress search. I dont know quite how to say it other than Rebecca is THE best. From my very first appointment to when I picked up my dress (and even since then!) the experience has been top tier. For starters, there wasnt a moment when I was in her shop when I wasnt getting her undivided attention. She was engaged and genuinely excited from the minute we walked in the door. Her intuition is amazing. The dress I ended up with wasnt even on my radar, but it became the standout winner because she was able to quickly understand what I liked and didnt like, curating the perfect dresses for me to try. She was thoughtful, helpful and patient as I weighed my options and provided valuable details about each gown and the variety of ways they could be worn or styled. In short, shes really good at what she does!! Beyond picking my dress, Rebecca helped me envision my whole look for the wedding day AND for other wedding related events, even sending me a potential rehearsal dinner dress that she thought Id like after Id picked up my gown. Rebecca is just a really great person. Shes positive and kind and genuinely curious and caring. She makes you feel special and the time spent in her store feels like time spent with a friend. I cant say enough good things about Rebecca and Something White. Every time I left the shop I left feeling happier and even more excited for my wedding. I HIGHLY recommend.

As soon as I walked into the shop, I knew I was going to find my dress here. Rebecca was super welcoming and kind the entire time. I was indecisive during the process because I couldnt choose which one I liked best, but she walked me through and helped me choose the perfect dress for me! It was all so seamless and I would certainly recommend Something White to all future brides who have a chic, elegant style!

The day of my bridal appointments, I truly did save the best boutique for last. I knew as soon as I walked in, that this was the place where I would find my dream dress. Rebecca was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was so sweet, helpful and was such a calming presence during the entire process. The other shops offered a lot of variety, with just way too many options and unfortunately none of the gowns had that WOW factor for me. They all started looking the same. At Something White, while there was a variety of dresses and price ranges, every single gown was picked out meticulously and with attention to detail. I wanted something classy, elegant and TIMELESS. After listening to me, Rebecca right away picked out a few gowns that she felt would not only look good on me, but would also achieve the vision I imagined. Thanks to her knowledge, expertise and an eye for fashion, one of the dresses was THE one. She helped me with making the decision while also allowing me time to think about it and spend time in the dress. I cant thank her enough for making the process of purchasing the dress and veil, scheduling alterations ahead of time, and recommendations for shoes, accessories, etc., such an easy process. I could not recommend this boutique enough and Im so thankful I found it and Rebecca!
