        had extremely ridiculous books related to neurodivergence and autism- found multiple books looking to "cure" things like ADHD and books depicting autism as a mental illness. truly disgusted and disappointed that a store like this believes in such harmful things

        I have been a customer of Comfrey for many years. Always trying to ignore the fact that the staff made me feel 'watched' and that they do not take Amex. But I recently bought several packages of beeswax labeled 2.0oz. and when I weighed them found that there was only 1.8oz of actual product in each (4) package. I truly want to support our local small businesses, but that was the final straw for me with Comfrey.

      Hello. In an effort to address your concerns about the books we offer, please realize that we get requests for all different types of books on different subject matters, sometimes even some that are not necessarily in with our line of thinking or opinions. Our goal is to offer people knowledge to digest and determine if it would be beneficial in their efforts to live their best possible lives. Thus why we have the selection of books you scanned while in our store. The Autism books we have in stock are written by Doctors and each have additional comments and affirmations from other doctors. Although none of us have read these particular books, based on testimonies of customers and friends that have benefited from some of the mentioned practices within these books, we thought these doctor’s studies might benefit some families with the practices they recommend. We do know and often state that everyone is different and therefore responds differently to different methods, supplements, and practices. However, we do believe options are always a good thing.

      Good afternoon. We appreciate your efforts to shop with local and small businesses. We do strive for excellence here at Comfrey Corner. So, with that in mind, I’d like to address the issues that you considered negatives in hopes you’ll reconsider your thoughts about Comfrey Corner. First: Our store, with all the bottles and selections, can be overwhelming to many people. Therefore, we make a concerted effort to check in with customers throughout their entire visit to make sure we are available for questions or locating needed items. If those efforts made you feel watched, that was not our intention. Second: We do not take Amex simply because Amex charges businesses such exorbitant fees. Accepting the other credit cards already affects our bottom line considerably but we knowingly accept that to offer that convenience to our customers. Third: Our scale is inspected and calibrated yearly by the Licking County Board of Weights & Measures. We do not knowingly or willingly skimp on our measurements. Again, we strive for excellence. We love our customers and try to make every experience a positive, helpful and accurate one. We hope having the above information gives you a change of heart about Comfrey Corner and you’ll give us another try.
