The Hamilton store is hands down the friendliest Target I have ever been to. Store is a bit outdated compared to another close by but the staff are so nice and helpful!

Do not go to this Target store if you are African American. I came into this Target to purchase a JBL speaker for my trip to Mexico. The first red flag was that there were so many employees on the floor yet all of them were obviously avoiding customers. No one could be bothered to ask if there was something they could help me with because they were so busy (not). I found the speaker section and found something I liked so I asked an employee if she could come unlock the glass door, so I can see what Im purchasing and also compare the models. I ask the employee if I could hold the speaker to read the specifications of the device to know what Im buying and to make the best financial decision for what I need but the price of the item isnt an issue for me! I couldve bought the whole entire stock they had. I was replied with no I cant let you hold it blatant racism. I reply I cant hold the device that Im going to purchase in the next minute? Again no you cant with no explanation. Target was not going to get my business. I walked away from the ignorant employee and purchased what I needed at Walmart with no issues. Never experienced such disrespect while shopping. I will say this situation couldve been avoided with more communication, but Im not going to beg to hold the item Im purchasing subliminally being profiled as if I would run out of the store and steal it. Absolutely insane. Made me sick. So I left. Thank you.
