Val, I'm sorry you feel that way. We are very competitive with pricing for our industry and area. I can guarantee that there aren't any other companies locally (or at all) that would make an exception to the lot hours and meet you in on a Sunday, during non operating hours, for no extra money. The driver had to assist your accident/winch out at 3am, and was out until after 5am; to ask him to come in during the day to meet you, and expect it for no additional charge isn't fair. I looked up your ticket and you were only charged for the accident/winch out recovery and were not charged storage, given that we were closed and your vehicle was not able to be picked up. Plenty of other companies charge storage on weekends and state that it's simply not their fault your vehicle was impounded on a weekend and we are not one of those companies. It's discouraging to get a review like this, knowing that you beat a lot of typical "tow industry" standards and try to cut people breaks. In the event that you carry full coverage insurance, you should have been able to submit the invoice to your insurance company for reimbursement as well. L B -- this is a very unfair review. That man you're referring to is our service manager and he dropped everything we had on our schedule, to prioritize your repair. Every other shop within 60 miles are multiple days/weeks out, and we had you fixed up within a day and a half. Your driver originally called in saying he needed a jump start only, we arrived and jumped it and it was unsuccessful. We diagnosed out on the road that it was most likely the alternator. It wasn't towed into our shop until mid-afternoon. No company should ever expect a diesel shop to be able to diagnose, search for who has the part available, find a way to obtain the part, and install parts same day. The alternator was not charging, therefore it was replaced. Please note that if you drive with a faulty alternator, you run the risk of damaging your electrical components, such as the fuel pump, which is what had happened and we realized that as soon as we got the electrical system working the way it should. Most of the day (because there was only 3 hours left in the work day), was spent trying to locate a part and sending someone for that part. And you failed to mention in your review that our crew stayed until 11pm that night doing a load transfer, as you brought another truck to offload. What company would go through that trouble? Most companies leave at 5 or 6pm and say they will resume work the next day. Your bill included over $600 of parts, $300 for your tow in & jump start (because we were told the jump would be successful so we sent out a truck incapable of towing it, so we had to make another trip to switch out trucks), your load transfer that was done at 11pm at night, after our crew had worked since 8 that morning (and we didn't even bill emergency rates, we billed our standard rates). I truly can't name another company who would go through the trouble of assisting your every need, putting you top of the line, getting an alternator and fuel pump installed within one and a half business days and assisting with a load shift 6 hours past closing time with the same guys who have put in a 15 hour day. It's REALLY discouraging to provide excellent service to someone for them to turn around and not only leave a one star review, but then state that you're going to slander our services to all others. I understand you feel your bill was high, but what else about our fast, caring, and prioritized services deserved a one star review? I hope that you read this reply and feel considerate enough to change your rating. I truly don't know another shop that would have done all we did for you. Your driver would still be in line to be repaired if you had went to the dealership in Columbus, as they were 2 weeks out.
