    I used to think that this was the only place I would go for physical therapy. Back in 2006 my Nero-Muscular condition had severely twisted and bent my back. My orthopedic doctor had wanted me to do surgery, but I didnt want to risk the recovery time or miss work. The head physical therapist wasnt sure he even wanted to attempt this, but I convinced him and we worked hard together and restored my back. I couldnt say enough good things about the place. On this time, year 2023 I was enthusiastic to go to the HelthPlex and sadly, and extremely disappointed. Along with my Nero-muscular condition I was recovering from a severe illness, in a three months span, I had vomited anything I ate or drank, my kidneys had gone into acute failure, I had been bleeding internally, until I was extremely anemic and my blood pressure was up over 200. I was horribly weak and needed to get my strength and mobility back. I finally worked to where I had great insurance. And could afford everything. My first day there, the head physical therapist spent a great deal of time hitting and swearing at my wheelchair until she bent brackets, I had to replace those. I have CPTSD, the violent event from the first time, made me freeze when the next physical therapist kept grabbing my arm, I froze, this made the head physical therapist berate me. She then told me that she would advocate for anyone but me and I was not allowed to speak a word in my own defense. They had me lifting weights in my wheelchair, but I found I was bruising myself on the metal and that my left shoulder was being levered out of socket when I lifted over the handle bars, causing incredible pain. I remedied the situation by dropping down to the floor and being up on my knees while I lifted, I showed my new way of lifting to the head physical therapist and I told her about my left shoulder, she didnt care about my shoulder, it is still weak and sore today. When the head physical therapist showed me a new exercise (I was down on my knees) she turned and walked away while showing me, so I didnt have a clear view. She later berated me on how I was doing that exercise wrong, and I again was not allowed to advocate for myself. I was berated for when a physical therapist forgot to enter the resistance setting on a machine I was on and, she went to talk to someone else. The lack of resistance was killing my legs, when the physical therapist returned, I begged her to set the resistance. She told me to set it at whatever I wanted. I didnt know how the resistance was calibrated (This machine had a 1-10 resistance range, where The YMCA has a 1-30) So I played with the setting for a few minutes, but it was then that I had to get off, I had left the resistance at 8. Later the head physical therapist berated me for having the resistance at 8, when I tried to explain what happened, she reminded me that I was not allowed to abvocate for myself and said that from now on the machine would have an 8-resistance rating for me, it was ussally set at 3 for patients. She never asked if my legs were okay. The other patients had taken notice of how I had improved my exercising routine and started complaining that the PT were being mean to me ( I was the one who had found the more different, difficult and more exclusive way for doing my exercises. I was then blamed for what the other patiens were saying. I never said a word to them. Again, not allowed to speak in my defense. I felt that they were on the edge of the HIPPA laws, discussing my case with other patients. I had waited for such a long time to have this good insurance and could afford this kind of healthcare, I do not want to pay someone to berate me. Until this inllness, exercise was a daily event. I want to get back to that, There are some wonderful people in this facility, I work out with some of them at the YMCA. Again, This does not include all my complaints. I dont know why I was hated so badly;
