        Disappointed with Modern Maid Service (MM) - Recommendations for Future Bookings Overall Experience: I recently used Modern Maid Service for a "top to bottom" cleaning, but unfortunately, I was disappointed with several aspects of the service. Positives: The cleaning team that came to my house was friendly and professional. They did a good job cleaning most of the areas. Negatives: Missed Cleaning Areas: The basement was not cleaned even though it was included in the "top to bottom" package. Communication Issues: I was not informed beforehand that window cleaning wouldn't be included, despite expecting it based on the website and phone conversation. I never received a copy of the work order via email or text for confirmation. Payment Interaction: When I brought up the missed basement cleaning during the payment discussion, the response felt dismissive rather than apologetic. There was no offer to reschedule the basement cleaning without no cost until I asked for next steps. Incomplete Kitchen Cleaning: Some areas in the kitchen, particularly the sideboards, were not cleaned to my satisfaction. Recommendations for Booking with MM: Request Work Order Confirmation: Ensure you receive the work order via email or text to confirm all cleaning details before the appointment. Clarify Cleaning Procedures: Clearly discuss how specific areas like windows, doors, and countertops will be cleaned. Plan for Missed Areas: Ask what happens if a room or area is missed during the cleaning. Consider Alternatives: Based on my experience with communication and missed services, you might want to consider other cleaning companies. hopefully others in the future can avoid similar issues when booking a cleaning service.

      Hi Senthil,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your recent experience with us. We genuinely appreciate all feedback as it helps us improve our services. I am pleased that you found our cleaning team to be friendly and professional and that they did a good job in most of your home. I am sorry that we fell short on your expectations and for any disappointment that we caused. I see that we emailed a detailed quote in November that you accepted. We also emailed and texted notification reminders and a receipt for the cleaning we performed. In our notification emails we share our policies which talk about what happens before, during, and after the cleaning and our general company information. I apologize that we do not have a separate work order to send.Looking at your quote and the job instructions for your cleaning I see we have with windows on the quote and without windows on the job instructions. I don’t know if something was changed after the initial quote or if we made an error. If we made an error I am extremely sorry.Regarding the missed and unsatisfactory areas. We really hoped we could get the buildup off your kitchen cabinets but were unfortunately unsuccessful. Our team was unable to start or complete the basement before 5p. In our job notes the basement was supposed to be one common room. When you spoke with us the next morning we then found out the basement has a common room, bedroom, and bath. The additional charge for the basement was because it was not just one room as initial stated. We offered to come back the day after the initial cleaning to do the basement and redo the kitchen cabinets. You then asked for a discount and for the basement to be cleaned for free. After explaining we would not do both a discount and a re-clean you opted for the discount.Sincerely,Amanda O.The Modern Maid
