Riverside Healthcare Center

I am a resident here for the past 6 months I'm here after a tragic accident where I was Hit by an uninsured driver who was driving a large SUV back in March of 2022. This is my 2 CND facility I've been in since the accident which left me in a wheelchair my legs now contracted. Yes there is room for improvement with some of the staff but there are good staff members here as well that really do seem to care about the residents. I've had 3 run ins with staff that frankly doesn't seem to give a dam but for the most part the staff is attentive to my needs. The food is ok some days better than others. I'm on a normal diet and my portions seem to be enough I gained 20 lbs since I've been here. I'm not prejudice and I try and get along with everyone. Yes today is a Day of where I don't know who my aide is they never came by to check on me or say hi. This is definitely something that needs to be addressed. I'm not here by my choice but I thank God that I have a team of people around me that I know if something serious were to go wrong with me that they would be there to help this I've seen and experienced myself. So I know that I feel safe here and that's important to me!

I have had to deliver there several times for work, and now I have a buddy staying there temporarily. I feel so sorry for those people. When the aides/nurses are in the parking lot smoking pot and bitching about resident's calls for help it's not good. Theres a group of the aides(at least daytime) that seem tight with the boss nurse and are more worried about ordering lunch and getting themselves extra food from the kitchen than doing anything for the patients. I honestly don't know how this place is open. I hear people say some version of "Oh I aint doing that." or "That's not my job." multiple times every time I have to go in and unload.

Don't understand why this Facility DOESN'T return calls.I filled out for a job and have called everyday for 2 weeks left messages and NO ONE will return calls Ive tryed HR and the DON..Its made me move forward to another Facility...Does anyone know why this happens here...

Management is poor nobody knows nothing. They don't follow handbook policy and it's place you do nothing but talk about people and try bullied and age discrimination coworkers. They don't focused on residents come to work to eat & talk about one other Management should be shame no type work ethic. Coworkers need to mind their own business and be more about residents care. Cooking on the North unit. It's good to be friends when you make your DON look stupid and don't know what she doing. This place Getto and needs cleaned up from the front to the back. Get people out management that think this my friend we party all time sad place to work. Good potential clean up build and management.

I'm a resident here right now. Can vouch for other reviews. They will neglect and starve you. I been here a week now. Was supposed to be on special diet for extra calories. The don't even give you everything on the regular diet trays. Breakfast was after 9:30 today, and always comes late like that. They'll bring 4 ounces of juice for entire meal. I had low blood pressure all day yesterday and so far today. When I finally saw nurse last night she saw how low I was and provided one of my meds to raise it. Then never checked on me again. Obviously didn't record anything as nobody seemed to know today. Still waiting on lunch now. Doc made me cancel appt with my PCP and cancel the blood work I was supposed to get. Said they would handle it but never seen her again. And I have repeatedly tried to get something done but the line around here is "I have to go do something but I'll be right back to talk to you about it". Then you never see them again. I've even waited for this long to try and review them on here but can't get to anyone that makes decisions any other way.
