Holiday Inn Express & Suites Dayton South - I-675, an IHG Hotel

I dont how there is any bad reviews for this place. Ive stayed here numerous time and I travel a lot staying in many hotels. This is the best hotel in this area. The staff are very friendly like they enjoy their job and want to be helpful. They have been very accommodating with any request for anything. The rooms have been clean and beds are very comfortable. Never any AC issues. The breakfast is good. Also, its updated in the lobby areas.

Check in was quick for our delayed flights and rooms were renovated. Bed was super uncomfortable and firm in comparison to other Holiday Inns! The hallways on the floor I was on smelled so much like weed despite rooms being non-smoking. Location is walking distance to a few restaurants in the area which is initially why we selected this hotel. Breakfast available in the lobby as well.

There is no clock in the room, the toilets are not clean, at breakfast, if you don't arrive early, you won't have any cakes left because the service is bad and the employees don't check when the food is finished and more should be brought. If they brought yellow cheese and some vegetables, they could improve the food.

1:30am. The reception area is SO LOUD I cannot sleep, and I am over half way down the hall. Called the front desk and was told there is nothing they can do, the space is rented out, and they don't usually leave until 2:30 or 3am. So much for a get-away!!! I guess the people who paid to sleep here don't count! Very poor "event planning". Should warn people staying that they'll get NO sleep until after 4am!
