* * * BUSINESSES BEWARE * * *This couple is the very reason businesses require payment up front. They are attempted thieves and liars! I only post this detail so review readers get the FULL scope.TRUTH: DeathCare Workers routinely deal with grieving people and grieving people aren't always their best-self.TRUTH: DeathCare Workers shoulder the burden of the loss & grief of the families we serve; we endure their abuse & can usually shake it off.This "review" is the end of this couple's 'temper tantrum' and personally, I have never been more thankful to be rid of dealing with someone.TRUTH: This couple caused me to say and do things I would normally never do! (They taught me where my limits are.)• I did use the "slam effect", on a post-midnight text exchange that read: "Good Night"....after being endlessly harassed all day, every day for an entire week by this couple-then I received a threat of physical violence, to my person if I didn't do what the son wanted?!(How much is a person supposed to take??) He was threatening to fly back to physically harm me!!Even his friend advised, "it's better to just let him have his way - he's CRAZY and he will get away with it again!"But we weren't in a position to just do as he says - we had to wait for the proper approvals & had to wait for an airline that met our needs.Our Funeral Home was contacted to assist with mortuary transport for a woman who passed away in California and was to be buried in her home country of Jordan (Repatriation).The rules for Repatriation are very simple.Follow the rules, or your person is not permitted to fly. PERIOD.We accurately set the expectations of every family we serve, whether local or someone being buried abroad.• This couple was asked to be patient.(They were not patient. They would very inconsiderately call & text at all hours of the day & night even at 2am EST, seeking updates - we would receive DOZENS of contacts a day from this couple!• From the beginning, they were advised it could take WEEKS to get the approvals & paperwork complete.(It did take weeks.)• They were very clearly advised NOT to purchase a private plane ticket until the receiving country has issued the approval to receive her.(They did not heed advise - they did as they pleased & ended up waiting in the receiving country for more than a week with out her.)• I had contacted 4 major airline carriers and requested the "1st available flight" that met our needs.During COVID, some airlines will fly 1 set of HR (Human Remains) -per airport, per day - NOT per flight. So we 'got in line' because there are other funeral homes that are also transporting loved ones all over the country - and we all have to wait our turn.• Meanwhile, all the paperwork & preparation must begin.• Body was received, transported & locally embalmed by a professional mortuary service.• Paperwork: Death Certificates (created by a local Funeral Home, signed by the physician, filed in the county of death), Permits, Approvals, Notary stamps, trip to the Secretary of State office to receive Apostilles, Translation services, Letter of Non-Contagion, Letter of Repatriation from the receiving country's consulate, passports, courier services...• Casket, dressing, cosmetics• Human Remains Cargo Transportation to the airport arrangements• Airlines -Cargo & Human Remains fees & schedules.-In theory, a person can walk to a ticket counter, purchase a ticket, then board the flight.-Shipping a casket-size cargo container with Human Remains is a little different. They were advised of this, too!They had the duration of this whole process to make the payment. They delayed yet I'm the villain.**End of the Day: They had to wait their turn, just like everyone else, just like they were advised - so they're taking it out on our business Google Review.
